Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Acting Director P/Col. Melecio Buslig Jr. on Saturday said they conducted a theoretical and practical driving course in coordination with the Land Transportation Office as a proactive effort to enhance road safety and driving proficiency among their personnel.
The week-long activity, held from 4 to 9 March 2025, took place at QCPD Headquarters in Camp Karingal. It was spearheaded by P/EMS Boy Clarito Blancad, District Executive Senior Police Officer (DESPO), who provided both theoretical and hands-on training to uniformed and non-uniformed personnel to enhance their driving skills and ensure compliance with road safety regulations.
Services such as motor vehicle and motorcycle registration renewal, issuance of new driver’s licenses, and renewal of expired licenses were offered at the QCPD Gymnasium and grandstand.
The theoretical driving course was attended by 86 participants, while 130 personnel took part in the Practical Driving Course held on 8 and 9 March at the QCPD grounds.
“This initiative reflects our commitment to equipping our personnel with essential driving skills, ensuring safer roads and enhancing mobility for effective law enforcement operations,” Buslig said. Jing Villamente
