Malacañang has yet to confirm if Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Ivan Uy has resigned from his post.

According to Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro, she has yet to receive information that Uy has indeed filed his resignation from the cabinet.

"As of the moment, we don't have an update. If he has resigned, or if he already sent his letter of resignation, as the President would need to accept it. So far, we do not have any update," she told reporters in a Palace briefing.

Uy was earlier reported to have left the administration over criticisms of his alleged frequent trips overseas, which allegedly impacted his agency’s performance.

According to the same report, Undersecretary Jeffry Ian Dy will be taking Uy's place temporarily.

Secretary Uy has yet to make any statements regarding his resignation from the cabinet.
