DivinaLaw has been named the official legal counsel for Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) 2025, ensuring that candidates are well-informed about their contracts before signing with EmpirePH Holdings Inc., the pageant's owner and organizer.
As part of this partnership, DivinaLaw recently conducted a legal orientation in Makati City for this year’s contestants. Led by senior partners Atty. Jose M. Layug Jr. and Atty. Richie Avigale Ramos-Pilares, the session aimed to guide candidates through the legal aspects of their contracts, helping them understand their rights and obligations.
Miss Universe Philippines Executive Vice President Voltaire Tayag underscored the significance of having legal support for candidates navigating professional agreements.
“One of the important things about being a professional, being a beauty queen, is the contract. When you are young, you are not familiar with these things and having lawyers to guide you, to be able to explain to you every clause and statement in the contract can really make you feel a lot more confident knowing what it is you are signing. We want to make sure that the delegates know what they are getting themselves into," Tayag said.
The collaboration was formally established through an agreement signed by EmpirePH Holdings President and CEO Jonas Antonio Gaffud and DivinaLaw Managing Partner and DAILY TRIBUNE columnist Atty. Nilo Divina.
This partnership reinforces the commitment of Miss Universe Philippines to providing contestants with the necessary legal knowledge as they embark on their journey in the prestigious pageant.
