The Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 112 has dismissed the syndicated estafa case filed against actress Neri Naig in connection with the Dermacare issue.
This development was revealed on Tuesday by Naig's lawyer, Aureli Sinsuat.
"We thank the courts for clearing the name of Neri Miranda, who has unmistakably been falsely accused of wrongdoing in the Dermacare case," Sinsuat stated.
"We hope that this issue will be put to rest as regards to Neri, so that instrumentalities of the law can focus on bringing the true perpetrators of the Dermacare scam to justice," the lawyer added.
The dismissal of the case marks a significant development for Naig, who had been facing allegations related to the Dermacare controversy. The court's decision clears her name and allows her to move forward, while authorities are urged to continue their pursuit of those truly responsible for the alleged scam.
