The second-most wanted person at the district and regional levels has been arrested by Northern Police District (NPD) operatives.

Officers from the District Special Operations Unit of the NPD (NPD-DSOU) served the arrest warrant on Sunday, 2 March, at the suspect’s residence in Barangay 160, Caloocan City.

The suspect, identified only as alias “Founder,” 37, is facing charges of murder and obstruction of apprehension of criminal offenders, issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 129 and the Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 86 in Caloocan City.

The obstruction of apprehension charge was filed in September 2022, while the murder case was filed in April 2024.

Police Master Sergeant Paul Colasito of the NPD-DSOU stated that the accused complied immediately when officers served the arrest warrant.

In an interview, the suspect claimed that the killing occurred in Baesa after the victim failed to pay for illegal drugs and had an outburst. However, he denied being responsible for the crime.

“No, sir. I was just in the area because the shooter took me there. He told me that if I didn’t go with them, they would shoot me or my wife,” Founder said.

He also denied using illegal drugs.

"All I can say is that I sincerely ask for forgiveness for what happened, especially to the victim’s family. But I swear, I did not kill anyone. I was merely caught up in the situation—I, too, am a victim here,” the accused added.

Founder will remain in the custodial facility of the Northern Police District in Caloocan City while awaiting the commitment order from the court that issued the warrant.
