Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin has directed all non-permanent presidential appointees in the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) and its attached agencies to submit their courtesy resignations by 28 February 2025.
The directive follows the appointment of former broadcaster Jay Ruiz as Communications Secretary, replacing Cesar Chavez, who was sworn in on February 24.
Despite the resignation order, affected officials have been instructed to continue reporting for work until further guidance from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Bersamin, or the new PCO leadership.
