Jason Paul Laxamana, the director behind the new Netflix original film Sosyal Climbers, has expressed strong confidence in the on-screen potential of the dynamic duo, Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings.
During a recent interview, Laxamana highlighted his belief in the actors' talent and chemistry, stating, "They will last long on the sole basis of their talent. Nothing really beats talent."
He further emphasized his professional focus, saying, "Whatever personal issues there may be, that is out of my jurisdiction. As their director, fellow artist, that's my only concern. And if based on talent alone, the future is looking bright for them as a love team and as individuals."
Laxamana also praised the "magic" that Racal and Jennings bring to their roles. "In every scene, they consistently add an extra spice to whatever I directed," he shared. "They have magic as actors. They're incredibly quick-witted. You'll genuinely enjoy the surprises they bring."
Their collaboration on Sosyal Climbers, which premiered on Netflix on 27 February, has clearly solidified Laxamana's conviction in their abilities. His words point towards a promising trajectory for Racal and Jennings, both as a popular pairing and as accomplished actors in their own right.
