Operatives from the Makati City Police — relying on intelligence-driven and well-planned operations — seized a significant amount of illegal drugs and arrested a high-value individual.
A report indicates that the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Makati City Police Station arrested a male suspect, identified as alias “Paolo” for violating Section 5 of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The buy-bust operation was conducted at approximately 8:58 p.m. on 25 February 2025, along Pililla Street, Barangay Olympia, Makati City.
Operatives seized approximately 110 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P748,000. Also recovered were the marked money used in the transaction, consisting of one genuine P1,000 bill and 149 pieces of P1,000 boodle money.
The suspect was placed under police custody and is undergoing further investigation. Charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act 9165 will be formally filed before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.
Southern Police District director PBGEN Manuel J. Abrugena commended the operatives for their dedication and vigilance in combating illegal drugs.
“This successful operation highlights our strong dedication to keeping illegal drugs off our streets,” Abrugena said. “We will continue our determined efforts to uphold the law and protect our communities.”
