John Saga reimagines Morissette's 'Akin Ka Na Lang'

Tawag ng Tanghalan" alum John Saga has unveiled a heartfelt rendition of Morissette's iconic hit, Akin Ka Na Lang. This release celebrates the 10th anniversary of the beloved Himig Handog P-pop Love Song entry.

The power belter expressed his deep gratitude on Instagram, stating, "I feel so honored to be a part of the legacy of this iconic song."

He also shared the story behind the rendition, revealing that it stemmed from a conversation with producer and composer Kiko "Kikx" Salazar. "Akala ko talaga na wrong send ka lang when you sent me a message about this project, but thank you for seeing me and for allowing me to reimagine this beast of a song (I really thought you had sent me the message about this project by mistake, but thank you for seeing me and for allowing me to reimagine this amazing song)," John recounted.

ince his impressive run on "TNT" season 3, John Saga has been making waves in the music scene. He released a cover album titled "Overture, Vol. 1," showcasing his versatility and vocal prowess. Last year, he collaborated with Anton Antenorcruz and Raven Heyres for the EP "Say It Clear Say It Loud," a project produced by Boy Abunda and released during Pride Month, further demonstrating his commitment to diverse musical expressions.
