Motorists are set to face another round of fuel price hikes as petroleum product prices increase for the second consecutive week on Tuesday, 25 February.
Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. have announced price hikes of P0.70 per liter for gasoline, P0.40 for diesel, and P0.20 for kerosene. Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement similar adjustments, excluding kerosene, which they do not sell.
The price increases will take effect at 6:00 a.m. for most companies, with Cleanfuel adjusting its prices later at 4:01 p.m. Other fuel retailers have yet to announce their price changes.
The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) previously projected mixed price movements, citing factors such as supply disruptions, tighter oil price caps on Russia, and potential delays in production increases this April.
Last week, retailers raised prices by P0.80 per liter for gasoline and diesel, and P0.10 per liter for kerosene.
