Data centers are evolving to keep up with the increasing demand for faster, more powerful computing services through artificial intelligence (AI). Beyond just storage, modern data centers now serve as AI engines — optimizing operations, reducing latency, and enabling businesses to harness real-time insights.
VITRO Sta. Rosa (VSR), the country’s first AI-ready hyperscale data center, has activated NVIDIA-powered GPU servers, enhancing its AI capabilities and service offerings.
VITRO Inc., the data center arm of PLDT Group and a subsidiary of ePLDT, said over the weekend that the activation enables businesses to access more powerful, cost-effective computing for AI-driven applications.
The 50-megawatt facility is designed to support enterprises, hyperscalers and AI platforms, with its GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) offering now further optimized for high-performance workloads.
“We envision VITRO Sta. Rosa is the Philippines’ AI hub, forming the first AI ecosystem in the country. This new milestone showcases VSR’s true capabilities to host the latest AI platforms that will reshape our digital landscape today,” ePLDT and VITRO Inc. president and CEO Victor S. Genuino said.
VSR is built to support up to 100 kW per rack, with plans to integrate advanced power and cooling solutions to meet the growing demands of AI technologies.
With its enhanced AI infrastructure, the facility aims to strengthen the country’s position as a digital hub in the Asia-Pacific, attracting global investments and driving technological innovation.
