Kris Aquino admits split with doctor-boyfriend

While Aquino is hesitant to reveal the whyfores of their breakup, we know that it’s about trust issues

Kris Aquino confirmed what we exclusively wrote in the Daily Tribune more than two weeks ago — that she and her doctor-boyfriend Michael Padlan  have already split.

That scoop of ours was inadvertently proven true last week when Aquino shared some snaps of her birthday and Valentine’s Day celebration where Padlan was conspicuously absent.

Then, Saturday, 22 February, came Aquino’s confirmatory statement, which proved our scoop that she and Padlan had indeed parted ways.

“I’ve always been honest with all of you,  for some time now I have been single, no boyfriend so clearly no fiance. I never gave details while we were a couple so it makes no sense to elaborate now,” she wrote in her Instagram post.

While Aquino is hesitant to reveal the whyfores of their breakup, we know that it’s about trust issues.

Also, it has something to do with manga, if you know what we mean.

Kris strongly felt the colloquial term “use me in a sentence.”

Paulo Avelino confirmed that he sent a bouquet of flowers to Kim Chiu on Valentine’s Day.

Avelino’s confirmation came during the media huddle for My Love Will Make You Disappear.

“Yeah, may pinadala akong flowers (Yeah, I sent someone flowers),” Avelino admitted.

Chiu shared on Instagram the photo of red, pink and yellow roses last Valentine’s Day. The flowers  came with a note card addressed to Kimberly, Chiu’s real name. The flowers  came early in the morning.

“Siyempre, paggising mo, ‘Uy, Kim, may flowers ka daw.’ ‘Saan galing?’ (Of course, when you wake up, ‘Hey, Kim you have flowers.’ ‘From where?,’” the It’s Showtime host recalled.

The note card bore this message: “Happy Valentine’s Day. From Paulo.”

Chiu admitted getting giddy after receiving the bouquet of flowers.

At one point during the mediacon, the cast members were asked when was the last time they felt giddy.

Chiu said it was a few minutes before the media huddle.

Referring to Avelino, she said: “Binigyan niya ako ng tinapay kanina (He gave me bread a while ago).

“Dinalhan niya ako ng pasalubong after Showtime (He gave me a gift after Showtime),” she added.

“Ano ba? Siguro pag nakikita ko sa baunan ni Kim na may gulay, ta’s walang halong karne. Uy, medyo kinikilig, (What? Maybe if I see vegetables in Kim’s lunch box without meat. Hey, I’m quite a bit giddy), she said.

Directed by Chad Vidanes, My Love Will Make You Disappear also stars Wilma Doesnt, Martin Escudero, Lovely Abella, Benj Manalo and Migs Almendras. It’s showing on 26 March.

Anthony Jennings nearly lost his cellphone in the snow

Incognito star Anthony Jennings was enjoying snowboarding in Italy when he realized that his cellphone was missing.

Incognito action director Lance Pimentel  shared a short video on his Instagram account showing Ian Veneracion, Daniel Padilla and Jennings enjoying the snow.

Later, it was announced that Jennings’ cellphone was missing.

“Kontraktor, ano ang mission natin (Contractor, what is our mission?),” one guy asked.

“Our mission is to find the cellphone of Tomas,” Veneracion said, referring to Jennings’ Tomas Guerrero character in Incognito.

Of course, Veneracion, who plays the contractor in the series, helped in the search for the missing phone which was later found in the snow.

“Nahanap mo? (You found it?),”Veneracion asked.

Jennings was very thankful that his phone was finally found.
