Four individuals were arrested in separate drug operations in Caloocan City and Malabon City over the weekend.

In Caloocan City, around 4:10 AM on Sunday, police conducting an anti-criminality foot patrol along Kawal Street in Barangay 28 noticed two individuals smoking.

According to a report from Police Major Valmark Funelas of Tuna Substation, the suspects attempted to flee by pushing the officers and running away.

The suspects were identified as “Ramielito,” a 32-year-old electrician from Caloocan City, and “Darwin,” a 27-year-old mason, also from Caloocan City.

Operatives recovered two medium-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 15 grams, with an estimated street value of P102,000.

Both suspects will face charges for violating Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code, or Disobedience of a Person in Authority, as well as Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. They are currently awaiting inquest proceedings.

Meanwhile, in Malabon City, two individuals allegedly working together were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Dampalit.

According to Malabon City Police Colonel Jay Baybayan, the suspects were identified as alias “Mark William,” a resident of Barangay Dampalit, and alias “Paula,” a resident of Marilao, Bulacan.

Police recovered at least 11 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P75,480.

Police Captain Mark Xyrus Santos, chief of the Malabon City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit, said Mark William was the primary target of the operation.

“They usually drop their drugs in Barangay Dampalit, Muzon, and Hulong Duhat,” Santos said in a Viber message.

He added that both suspects had previously been arrested on drug charges, with Mark William serving time in Malabon and Paula in Bulacan.

Both are currently detained at the Malabon City Police Station.
