The Pasig City Police on Saturday said it strongly condemns all forms of violence and deeply regrets an incident that occurred in Barangay Caniogan, where a dispute among students escalated into a stabbing, leaving two victims injured.
Given the sensitivity of the case involving the minors, authorities said they have conducted a thorough investigation.
The seven minors involved are now in police custody, and “we are coordinating with the City Social Welfare Department (CSWD) to ensure proper intervention and processing,” the Pasig Police said.
It added that it is also working closely with the local government under Mayor Vico Sotto, as well as school administrators, to address such incidents and implement preventive measures.
“We urge parents to be actively involved in their children’s daily lives, especially in this digital age, where their guidance, care, and attention are more crucial than ever,” the Pasig Police said.
“We also call on the community to continue supporting law enforcement because public safety and security are shared responsibilities between the police and the community,” it added.
