Actress Sam Pinto took to social media to share that her husband, basketball player Anthony Semerad, is now in good condition after a recent hospitalization during their family vacation in Japan.
In a series of Instagram posts, Pinto provided updates and shared snapshots from their trip.
"After resting and spending time in the hotel room, @anthonysemerad wanted to go out for some fresh air. With uncle @djsemerad assisting Anthony while walking, we took it nice and slow to the nearest and surprisingly the best (and smallest) tonkatsu place ever. Was so hungry, I forgot to take a photo of the food lol," she wrote.
Pinto also revealed that her husband is currently recovering from dengue.
Semerad first showed symptoms on 5 February, but when his condition persisted, they called a doctor on 7 February. Although COVID-19 and influenza were ruled out, his health continued to decline despite taking medication.
By Sunday, his symptoms worsened, prompting them to call an ambulance. Semerad was admitted to a hospital, where he was treated for headaches and nausea before being discharged and advised to rest at their hotel.
Pinto clarified that her husband had contracted dengue in Manila before their trip, and they are closely monitoring his health as he continues his recovery in Manila.
