“Wala na pong kasal na magaganap.”
Vlogger and disc jockey Jellie Aw confirmed in an interview on Friday that she has officially called off her wedding with fiancé Jam Ignacio, following allegations of abuse in their relationship.
Aw made it clear that their wedding plans will no longer push through due to recent events that led to their separation.
“Hindi na po matutuloy ang mga pinag-usapan namin dahil sa mga nangyayari,” she said.
Despite putting an end to their plans, Aw emphasized that she has already forgiven Ignacio for what transpired between them but remains firm in pursuing legal action.
“Una pa lang naman po, napatawad ko na siya, pero itutuloy ko pa rin ang kaso,” she stated.
Earlier this week, Ignacio made headlines after issuing a public apology and expressing his desire to reconcile and proceed with their wedding.
“Sa mga kapatid, sa mga kaibigan, dito ako haharap sa inyo. Humaharap na humihingi ng taos-pusong sorry. Sorry, sobrang sorry, lalo na sa mommy ni Jellie. Ma, sorry, ma. Alam niyo ’yan na mahal na mahal ko si Jellie,” he said.
(“To my siblings, to my friends, I stand before you asking for a sincere apology. I’m deeply sorry, especially to Jellie’s mother. Mom, I’m sorry. You know how much I love Jellie.”)
Aw and Ignacio announced their engagement in November 2024, just four months after they began dating. However, allegations of abuse surfaced, leading Aw to end the relationship before taking the next step.
As of now, Aw remains firm in her decision, while Ignacio’s plea for forgiveness has sparked discussions among their followers.
