Following the Miss World Organization’s announcement of the date and venue for the 72nd edition of the pageant—set to take place in India—Philippine bet Krishnah Gravidez quickly became a trending topic on social media, sparking excitement among Filipino pageant fans.
Even before the official confirmation, the Baguio-born beauty had already been making an impact through her charity foundation, Color the World with Kindness, where she personally provides aid and support through donations to those in need.
Beyond her advocacy, Gravidez has also gained the support of Megan Young, the Philippines’ first and only Miss World titleholder. Young recently shared words of encouragement, seemingly offering valuable tips to the reigning Miss World Philippines.
In an Instagram post, Gravidez shared a photo with the 2013 Miss World, expressing her admiration: "The world will forever be enchanted by your beautiful spirit. 🩵 To the warmest, sweetest, and coolest human being ever, salamat for a very lovely time and all the invaluable lessons."
Young responded in the comments, cheering Gravidez on: "It was great talking with you @krishnahgravidez 💙 cheering for you, queen!!!!"
Before securing the Miss World Philippines crown, Gravidez was initially named Miss Charm Philippines 2024 under The Miss Philippines organization. However, she later relinquished the title to compete in Miss World Philippines, where she ultimately emerged victorious.
The Philippines remains a powerhouse in global pageantry, with Megan Young winning the country's first Miss World crown in 2013. Meanwhile, Catriona Gray, who later became Miss Universe 2018, previously made waves as a finalist in Miss World 2016.
Currently, reigning Miss World Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic is set to pass on her crown at the 72nd Miss World pageant, scheduled to take place from 7 to 31 May 2025, in Telangana, India.
