Marcos highlights DSWD programs and initiatives at 74th anniversary

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. attends the 74th anniversary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Tuesday, 18 February 2025. In this message, he outlined key programs. He discussed the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), which provides financial aid for education and healthcare, and the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), which supports small businesses and employment. He also mentioned social pensions for indigent senior citizens and the Quick Response Fund (QRF) for disaster relief, which assisted millions in 2024. The President also helped introduce the agency's new initiatives, including HELPS for streamlining services, the Minors Traveling Abroad System for processing travel clearances, and the Pamilya sa Bagong Pilipinas Program for family welfare. He acknowledged the efforts of DSWD personnel and emphasized the government's focus on social welfare programs.
