CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A total of 260 firearms were seized by the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) from 10 January to 15 February 2025, through its intensified Revitalized Katok campaign.

In a social media post on Monday, the PRO3 cited that this is part of their major push to enforce the election gun ban and ensure public safety.

The PRO3 personnel have been actively reaching out to firearm holders, urging them to surrender loose and unrenewed firearms.

This initiative strengthens the region’s efforts to curb illegal firearms and prevent potential election-related violence.

The PRO3 underscored the critical role of responsible gun ownership, especially during the election period, and called on firearm holders with expired licenses to voluntarily deposit their firearms at the nearest police station.

The Revitalized Katok initiative reaffirms PRO3’s commitment to peace and order through proactive policing and community collaboration.

With the elections fast approaching, PRO3 assures the public that all surrendered firearms are properly documented and secured, while also assisting firearm holders in complying with regulations.

PRO3 continues to intensify efforts in upholding law and order, ensuring that Central Luzon remains safe, secure and free from gun-related threats during the election period.
