Draven Sebastian Bennington, the 22-year-old child of late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, has publicly shared her journey of self-discovery, revealing that she came out as transgender last year and has since begun transitioning.

Following in her father's footsteps in music and art, Draven took to Instagram on Valentine’s Day to share a heartfelt message about embracing her true self.

"As today is a day to celebrate love and what love truly means — whether it’s for a partner, family, or ourselves — I thought it would be the perfect time to show some love to myself," she wrote.

Draven reflected on her years of struggling with her identity, admitting that for a long time, she tried to be someone she wasn’t. "Ignoring it worked for a while, but continuously coming to the crossroads of being happy or being complacent was one I couldn't keep choosing," she shared.

In August 2023, she made the life-changing decision to embrace happiness and authenticity. "I came out as transgender and started hormone replacement therapy, and it has been the best decision I’ve ever made in my life," she continued.

Expressing gratitude for the unwavering support she has received, Draven added, "I am very blessed to be able to do this, as well as having such supportive family and friends. I love each and every one of you who have shown me nothing but love and respect and see me for who I truly am."

Her mother, Samantha Bennington, voiced her full support in the comment section, writing, "I’m so proud of you. I love you with all my heart and soul. You’re my favorite human on the planet. I just want you happy and healthy forever and always."

Draven’s courageous revelation has been met with love and encouragement from fans and loved ones, marking a significant chapter in her journey toward self-acceptance.
