Aboitiz InfraCapital Economic Estates (AIEE) proudly celebrates a significant milestone: getting the 5-Star BERDE District Certification from Philippine Green Building Council (PhilGBC) for its Cebu Estates.

The #MEZ2Estate and #WestCebuEstate stand as the VisMin region’s first-ever 5-Star BERDE District Certified developments. These estates join LIMA Estate in Lipa-Malvar, Batangas, as benchmarks of excellence in environmental sustainability, health and well-being, and community engagement.

“This recognition underscores our enduring commitment to sustainable and forward-thinking developments, solidifying our position as the first and only industrial developer in the country with a fully certified operating portfolio,” AIEE said in a Facebook post on 20 January.

“This milestone reaffirms our mission to create greener, smarter, and more resilient communities for generations to come,” it added.

A 5-star BERDE (Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence) District Certification is the highest rating given by the PhilGBC to sustainable and environmentally friendly developments in the country.

It means that the district effectively minimizes its carbon footprint, optimizes energy and water use, and manages waste efficiently.

It also ensures climate resilience, disaster preparedness, and a high quality of life for residents and businesses.
