Breath of nature

Nature has always been one of the best sources of inspiration. It’s breathtaking wonders give one a feeling of being in the presence of the divine. The same emotion is felt with the works of celebrated visual artist, Ponce Veridiano, who recently held his 2nd exhibit, Breath of Nature at W17.

The artist drew inspiration from his recent travel to Koyasan, Japan, a place of spiritual beauty and natural splendor. This sacred mountain with its tranquil forest and ancient temples, serves as the muse for a series of works that reflect the timeless bond between humanity and the natural world.

This marks another chapter in his artistic exploration of the natural world following the success of his first solo show at W17 last year. Veridiano, the modest electrical engineer and self-taught landscapist from Nagcarlan, Laguna is known for his intuitive eye, remarkable skill and deep understanding of balancing design with nature. His remarkable “not by the book” artistry showcases his distinct and outstanding artistry unconstricted to one style or medium. He finds joy and excitement in discovering the effects varying mediums have on his work. His continuous inspiration lies within self-discovery from improving and experimenting, one painting at a time. A master in the making, his current works are contemporary masterpieces of boundless creativity and a showcase of nature at its finest in a different light.
