MORONG, Bataan — Police uncovered Tuesday afternoon a decomposing body of an unknown male cadaver in Sitio Napot, Barangay Nagbalayong, Morong, Bataan.

Captain Carlito Buco, Jr, chief of police here, said that they are still verifying whether the victim was dumped in the area or salvaged as there was no bloodstain on the body of the victim and no trace of bloodshed near the vicinity where the victim was found.

“We have asked the SOCO already to conduct an autopsy on the cadaver that was found inside an isolated area inside the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant compound in Barangay Napot. The victim was nearly unrecognizable as he was already in an advance state of decomposition,” Captain Buco told this writer in a telephone call.

The discovery of the dead body was reported to the police by a barangay official of Barangay Nagbalayong.

Captain Buco said the Morong police, in turn, immediately rushed to the area due  also to the complaint of passing motorists because of strong foul odor emitted from the area.

The Morong police led by PCPT Joey Cabarles, deputy chief of police,  “were dispatched to conduct investigation, and upon arrival at the place, one cadaver in decomposition state was seen in prone position visibly wearing a black short, black T-shirt and red hoody jacket. Coordination was made with Bataan PFU and requested for technical assistance.”

“We are still investigating the incident

to determine the cause of his death,” Buco added.
