Winwyn Marquez aims for new triumph in MUPh '25

Pageant veteran and actress Teresita Ssen "Winwyn" Marquez officially announced her return to the pageant scene on Saturday, confirming her participation in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2025. Representing her hometown of Muntinlupa, Marquez steps back into the spotlight as an appointee candidate.

During the sashing ceremony, Marquez captivated the pageant media and fans with her confidence and readiness for the competition. On Instagram, she shared stunning snaps, delighting her followers with the announcement: "Hello, Philippines! Hello, Universe!!"

Marquez's pageant journey began in 2015 when she competed in Binibining Pilipinas, securing a Top 15 spot and bagging special awards like Best in National Costume and Miss Talent. She later joined Miss World Philippines in 2017, earning the title Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas and becoming the first Filipina to win the crown in the Latin-based pageant.

Now a mother to her daughter, Luna Teresita Rayy, born in 2022, Marquez shared how her child inspires her to pursue greatness: "My beautiful daughter, you remind me of everything good in life and all the possibilities the future holds," she wrote.

Meanwhile, the Miss Universe Organization confirmed on Saturday that the 2025 Miss Universe pageant will take place in Bangkok, Thailand.
