The Miss Universe Organization has teased an exciting announcement regarding the host country for the 74th Miss Universe pageant.
In a social media post, the organization revealed a shortlist of countries with strong potential to stage the competition, naming Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Spain, South Africa, Thailand, and the Philippines.
"The suspense is killing us! Only hours left until we find out which country will host the 74th Miss Universe Competition! Are you ready?" the organization wrote in their caption.
The 73rd Miss Universe pageant was recently held in Mexico City, where Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua crowned Denmark's Victoria Kjær Theilvig as her successor.
If selected, the Philippines would host the pageant for the fourth time, following previous editions in 1974, 1994, and 2016, where Pia Wurtzbach passed her crown to Iris Mittenaere of France.
