A Japan Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and a Delta Air Lines 737-800 collided on the ground at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) Wednesday, according to reports.
The Delta flight, with 142 passengers aboard, was waiting for deicing before its scheduled departure to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The Japan Airlines plane had just landed from Tokyo when the collision occurred.
Delta Airlines confirmed there were no injuries in the incident and stated that it would arrange for another flight to transport the affected passengers.
This incident comes exactly one week after a tragic midair collision near Washington, D.C., involving a passenger plane and an Army Black Hawk helicopter, which killed 67 people.
