Petro Gazz extended its winning streak to six after a hard-fought 25-20, 24-26, 28-26, 25-20 victory over ZUS Coffee in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.

The Angels reclaimed the top spot in the standings, overcoming the Thunderbelles’ relentless defense and refusing to back down in a grueling two-hour, 18-minute battle.

“ZUS Coffee’s defense was insane — probably one of the best I’ve faced in a long time,” said Brooke Van Sickle, who dropped 27 points and tallied 15 excellent digs to earn the Player of the Game.

Brooke Van Sickle delivered an outstanding performance to secure the Petro Gazz’ sixth consecutive win in the elimination round of the 2024 - 2025 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

Petro Gazz leaned on Van Sickle’s explosive offense, Myla Pablo’s clutch performance, and MJ Phillips’ steady presence to outlast ZUS Coffee, which fell to a 4-5 record. Pablo scored 22 points, including crucial late-game hits, while Phillips added 10 markers.

Kate Santiago led ZUS Coffee with 21 points, followed by Chai Troncoso with 19. Jovelyn Gonzaga and Michelle Gamit chipped in eight and seven points, respectively, but their efforts weren’t enough to force a deciding set.

The Angels are now aiming for a strong finish in the preliminaries as they prepare for matchups against Capital1 on 11 February, Galeries Tower on 17 February, and Nxled on 20 February — making every game a must-win for Petro Gazz in their quest for playoff supremacy.
