Courier rider who allegedly exchanged malicious photos with minor collared

A parcel picker at a courier company was arrested last Sunday over alleged lascivious conduct towards a minor.

The suspect was arrested in Bagbaguin, Barangay 165 in Caloocan City through the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Ma. Teresa De Guzman Alvarez of Caloocan City RTC Branch 131.

PSSG Honeybelle Data, an investigator from the Northern Police District - District Special Operations Unit (NPD-DSOU), said that the accused, identified as “Darwin”, exchanged malicious photos with the friend of his younger sister.

Data added that the victim is currently is 17 years old.

“Darwin was shocked upon learning that the woman will file a complaint, and afterward, he learned that there was a warrant of arrest.”

“They met each other in the accused’s house because the victim visits her best friend there, who is the younger sister of Darwin,” Data said.

She also mentioned that when the suspect was questioned, he claimed that the woman had also filed complaints against other men.

"He alleged that the woman has complained multiple times about different men when her mother catches her,” the investigator further added.

In line with the lawsuits filed, Data said that the suspect clarified that there was no physical contact between him and the victim.

Two counts of lascivious conduct under Republic Act No. 7610, also known as the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act, were filed against Darwin, with a recommended bail of P200,000 for each count.
