Former Miss Universe and fashion influencer Pia Wurtzbach took to social media to share her recent encounter with an online basher.
In an Instagram Story, Wurtzbach posted a screenshot of a direct message from a netizen who criticized her choice of style.
“Why black and brown Hermes purse is all you got? Para madali iterno? Di afford unique design??” the message read.
("Why is a black and brown Hermes purse all you have? Is it because it's easy to match? You can't afford a unique design?")
The same user went further, making a hurtful comment about her personal life.
“Praying for your divorce soon. Soon he will realize you are a user and can’t bring anything to the table. Pero mas maganda if pregnant ka muna so you’ll be a divorced single mom. Manifesting,” the basher wrote.

Rather than ignoring the negativity, Wurtzbach addressed the incident head-on.
“Just another day, another DM. Wild, right? C’mon people. Bagong taon na. Nag-CNY pa,” Wurtzbach said.
("Just another day, another DM. Wild, right? Come on, people. It's a new year already. We even celebrated CNY.")
“It’s exhausting and hurtful din ha. Let’s stop normalizing this kind of online behavior. Out na natin yung ganito for 2025 and instead, let’s be nice to each other, support, and uplift one another,” she wrote.

Recently, Wurtzbach opted to skip Paris Fashion Week in January, choosing instead to focus on projects she finds more meaningful.
A rising global fashion figure, Wurtzbach was recognized in 2024 as one of the most visible fashion influencers by marketing platform Lefty, joining stars like Jisoo and Rosé of BLACKPINK, Kim Kardashian, Cha Eun-woo, and Kendall Jenner.
She made her Fashion Week debut in Milan and Paris in 2023, further solidifying her reputation as a fashion icon.
Beyond fashion, Wurtzbach has expanded her career as an entrepreneur, host, and author, releasing her debut novel Queen of the Universe in 2023.
