Manuel V. Pangilinan-led Manila Electric Company (Meralco) has reinforced its cybersecurity initiatives through a strengthened partnership with the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), the Philippine government’s primary intelligence arm. The collaboration aims to enhance national cybersecurity efforts, promote intelligence sharing, and ensure the continuity of security measures beyond leadership changes.
The partnership was formalized during a recent visit to Meralco’s headquarters, where both organizations pledged to work together on technology transfer, intelligence exchange, and the establishment of long-term institutional collaborations. This partnership seeks to foster a unified intelligence community to build a stronger and safer nation.
