President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday expressed his appreciation for the high public satisfaction with his administration, citing it as motivation for him and all public servants to continue striving to serve the Filipino people.

Marcos made the statement after a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted from 12 to 18 December 2024, revealed that 59 percent of adult Filipinos were satisfied with his administration's performance.

“It’s always good to see that what we are doing is reaching most of the people. It’s very encouraging,” Marcos said during a chance interview in Pasay City. “Of course, we will be encouraged to strengthen and improve our programs. I’m sure it inspires all of us public servants to continue doing our best for the people,” he added.

The SWS poll showed that only 23 percent of respondents expressed dissatisfaction with the current administration, while 17 percent were neutral. The Marcos administration earned a net satisfaction rating of “good” at +36.

The survey highlighted strong performance in key areas, with the administration earning "very good" ratings in five categories: helping victims of disasters (+65), improving the quality of children’s education (+60), assisting the poor (+57), job creation policies (+51), and developing science and technology (+51).

Seven other areas received "good" ratings, including housing programs for the poor (+49), food security (+46), public transportation efficiency (+45), disaster preparedness for typhoons (+44), climate change action (+38), transparency (+34), and defending Philippine sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea (+32). The administration's performance in ensuring no family goes hungry was rated "moderate" at +26.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, speaking on Thursday, thanked the Filipino people for their support, noting that public feedback helps the government improve its service delivery.
