Filipino street art goes to Paris

TDT

Fresh from his successful exhibition in Osaka, acclaimed Filipino artist Sean Go continues his international artistic journey with a compelling new solo exhibition, “We Are the Angels in Marble,” at the prestigious PAB Aguiar Bianco in Paris.

Opening 6 February, this exhibition promises to transform the City of Light’s art scene with Go’s signature blend of street art energy and profound social commentary.

Fallen Angel

Set in one of Paris’s most historic neighborhoods, PAB Aguiar Bianco stands as a testament to artistic excellence and cultural exchange. For over three decades, the gallery has been at the forefront of showcasing exceptional works that bridge different cultures and epochs. Under the current leadership of Diogo Aguiar-Branco, the gallery continues its legacy of connecting international artists with discerning collectors and prestigious institutions worldwide.

In this storied setting, Go’s latest collection explores the complex relationship between urban life and human transcendence. Through his masterful use of mixed media, including his standout piece “Fallen Angel” — a 48-inch canvas that brilliantly combines acrylic, leather paint, spray paint and grease pencil — Go creates a visual dialogue that speaks to the universal human experience.

“We Are the Angels in Marble” represents the culmination of Go’s artistic evolution, shaped by his experiences in global art capitals including New York, Paris, Manila, Tokyo and London. His figures, depicted with ethereal wings and caught in moments of motion, serve as powerful metaphors for humanity’s constant struggle for expression and connection within modern urban landscapes.

“We Are the Angels in Marble” will be on view at PAB Aguiar Bianco, 19 Rue de Beaune, 75007 Paris, France, until 16 February.
