Hotel 101 welcomed the Chinese New Year with a major announcement of its global expansion plans during a festive gathering at Jinjiang Inn on Tuesday.
Hotel 101 general manager Charley Magabo revealed key milestones for the hotel, including its anticipated listing on the US NASDAQ. He also announced developments within the Philippines, including new hotels in Davao, Cebu, and Mactan Airport, alongside international projects in Madrid, Spain, and Niseko, Japan.
“Chinese New Year symbolizes renewal, wisdom, and transformation — values that align perfectly with the Year of the Wood Snake and Hotel 101’s vision,” Magabo said.
“This year, we are embarking on a remarkable journey of expansion and innovation, bringing the spirit of Filipino hospitality to new heights.”
Magabo expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support that has fueled Hotel 101’s success as it continues to grow both locally and globally.
Chinese New Year 2025 began on 29 January and will last until 16 February, spanning the first 15 days of the lunar calendar, from the new moon to the full moon.
This year marks the Year of the Wood Snake in the Chinese zodiac, an animal revered for its wisdom, charm, elegance, and transformative energy. Known for its association with intuition and strategic thinking, the snake reflects the hotel’s bold and visionary plans for the future.
