On Instagram, Racal shared behind-the-scenes photos from the film’s production and expressed her gratitude to the team behind the project.

“Bringing Sunshine to Berlinale 2025. Grateful for this incredible journey and the chance to share our story on such a prestigious stage,” she wrote. “SUNSHINE is set to make its European premiere under the Generation 14plus Competition! Here’s what the cast and team behind SUNSHINE had to say about the film’s selection.”

Directed by Antoinette Jadaone and produced by ANIMA Studios and Project 8 Projects, Sunshine tells the poignant story of a young gymnast who discovers she is pregnant just as she prepares for the national team tryouts.

The Berlin International Film Festival, one of the world’s most renowned film events, will take place this February, providing a global platform for films and their talented creators.

Fans and critics alike are eagerly anticipating the European premiere of Sunshine and the international recognition it promises to bring to Filipino cinema.
