Devotees of Santo Niño braved the rain during a procession of faith in Mogpog, Marinduque, on Sunday, 19 January 2025. Many saw the rain as a blessing as local youth received gifts from a generous benefactor. Mogpog, whose name is derived from "maapog" — referring to lime and its abundance or production — is part of Marinduque, famously called "The Heart of the Philippines." The province’s heart-shaped island and its central location in the archipelago echo its symbolic name.
