Wen Junhui, better known as Jun of the globally renowned K-pop group Seventeen, is set to take on a major acting role in the upcoming film The Shadow’s Edge.

The movie features a star-studded cast, including the legendary Jackie Chan, Zhang Zi Feng and more.

On 18 January, the production team unveiled the first poster for the action-packed movie, highlighting its stellar lineup. The poster teases a high-stakes storyline, with the characters striking intense poses and wielding weapons like guns, hinting at the film’s adrenaline-pumping action.

The plot centers on a group of cunning thieves who consistently outmaneuver the Macau Judiciary Police. To combat this escalating threat, the police enlist Huang De Zhong, a retired legendary tracker, to team up with young Criminal Investigation Department elites.

As traditional tracking methods clash with advanced technology, the film delivers a thrilling battle of wits and courage in the ultimate showdown between justice and crime.

Directed and written by Yang Zi, The Shadow’s Edge is slated for release in 2025.

Seventeen’s 13 members are S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino. They debuted in 2015 under Pledis Entertainment with the album 17 Carat.

Known for self-producing their music, the group has consistently earned praise for their artistry and involvement in songwriting and composition.

In 2024, Seventeen released the compilation album 17 is Right Here featuring the title track “Maestro.” In the same year, the group also made history as the first K-pop act to perform at the Glastonbury Festival. It headlined the Lollapalooza Festival in Germany on 7 and 8 September 2024.
