The seemingly never-ending rift, imagined or otherwise, between fashion icon Heart Evangelista and beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach, has resurrected.
This came after Evangelista posted on her Facebook and Instagram accounts a photo of her favorite dog Panda, who was snapped while seated on a chair.
“Queen P finally made time for me @pandaongpaucoescudero,” came Evangelista’s caption.
Of course, this seemingly innocent caption fueled speculations that the fashion icon was taking a swipe at her rival who is known far and wide as Queen P.
“hmmm everyone is calling Pia queen P and now this post,” one fan reacted.
“parang may shade no kala ko pa naman tahimik na (Seems there’s shade, and I though all was quiet now),” another fan chimed in.
“Lowkey shading ba ‘to (Is this lowkey shading)?” asked one female admirer.
But Evangelista’s supporters did try to parry off their idol’s bashing.
“Stop! Hindi ung queen p mo lang ang may right gumamit nyan. Kahit si Pokwang pwede (It’s not just your queen who has the right to use it. Even Pokwang can use it),” one fan asserted.
“May copyright at sec registered ba yung Name na QUEEN P? Mas maingay pa sa tahol ni Panda yung ibang nasa comment section. Si Queen Elizabeth nga hindi nagagalit na kasama sya sa cartoons ni Mr. Bean (Does this name have a copyright and is Queen P SEC-registered? Those in the comment section bark louder than Panda. Even Queen Elizabeth did not get mad when she was included in the cartoons of Mr. Bean),” another Evangelista fan wailed.
Is Bea Alonzo’s contract with the Kapuso network about to expire?
Rumors of late seem to tread in that direction as blind stories about an A-list actor’s career are said to be hanging on a thread.
Recall that Alonzo became an official Kapuso star last 1 July 2021.
Alonzo did Start-Up PH with Alden Richards, then Love Before Sunrise with Dennis Trillo and lastly Widow’s War with Carla Abellana.
None of these shows made a mark on television. None of these were top-rating.
On Reddit, netizens articulated some theories why Alonzo’s projects seem to alienate her from fans.
“She’s in the tita (auntie) era already. Plus yung (the) materials ng (of her) series, very 20s. Hindi (It’s not) age-appropriate. I mean, Start-Up? Dapat si Julie ‘yun tapos siya si Maria Clara (it should have been Julie, and then she’s Maria Clara),” said one fan.
One fan echoed the same sentiment.
“I think Bea needs material (the likes) of Amor Powers or ‘yung bida sa (the lead in) Broken Marriage Vow.”
It’s Showtime’s main host is currently in Japan for a much-deserved rest after spending her December with a flurry of activities like shooting and promoting her Metro Manila Film Festival entry …And The Breadwinner Is.
While in the Land of the Rising Sun, Vice Ganda made a video expressing gratitude for the support of her MMFF movie.
On her Facebook account, Vice Ganda thanked her supporters for making her MMFF movie a top-grosser.
“Winner ang inyong pagmamahal at kabog ang inyong patuloy na suporta! (Your love is a winner and greater is your continuous support).
“Maraming salamat (Thank you so much) for making ‘And The Breadwinner Is’ the number one movie during the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival, earning over P400 million as of January 15, 2025,” she wrote on her FB post.
