With Season 4 still in the early stages of production, fans of Andrzej Sapkowski's dark fantasy novel The Witcher were given a huge treat as Netflix released the latest trailer for The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep.
Sirens of the Deep is the second Witcher animated film distributed by Netflix, following the prequel The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, which premiered in August 2021. The story is based on “A Little Sacrifice,” one of the short stories from Sword of Destiny, the second book in Sapkowski's hit saga. It follows Geralt of Rivia and his allies as they attempt to stop a war between humans and merpeople, while investigating the source of the conflict that leads to unparalleled danger, dark secrets, and monster-killing action.
The film is directed by Kang Hei Chul and features Doug Cockle reprising his role as Geralt from The Witcher game series. He is joined by Anya Chalotra and Joey Batey, who reprise their roles as Yennefer of Vengerberg and Jaskier from the live-action series.
The animated trailer also revealed the release date: The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep will stream on Netflix starting 11 February.
