Warabimochi Kamakura, a renowned Japanese dessert, is now ready to serve its melt-in-your-mouth snacks to Filipinos.
Known for its authentic and innovative warabimochi, the brand recently opened its first store in the Philippines at the third floor of SM Megamall Fashion Hall.
Warabimochi is a traditional Japanese snack known for its signature silky, jelly-like texture. It is typically dusted with roasted soybean flour (kinako) and paired with a sweet syrup. This snack is a staple in Japanese culture, originally served for Japan’s royal families.
This version of wagashi (Japanese confection), available in the classic flavors Kinako Warabimochi and Matcha Warabimochi, offers a perfect blend of texture and flavor that’s light yet satisfying.
“The Philippines has such a vibrant food culture, and we’re excited to share the joy of Warabimochi with Filipinos. We believe that the Filipino’s appreciation for unique and authentic experiences will make Warabimochi an instant favorite,” Victoria Riingen, Warabimochi Kamakura Philippines general manager, said.
Warabimochi Kamakura reimagines the classic Japanese dessert into a variety of modern snacks and drinks. The drink menu features classic flavors like Matcha, Strawberry, Hojicha, Coffee, Lemonade, and Matcha Lemonade. Each can be paired with chewy warabimochi bits.
To date, the brand now has over 50 stores across Japan and is gaining popularity in Singapore, the USA, Hong Kong, South Korea and Australia.
“From our premium ingredients to our artisanal methods, every aspect of our Warabimochi reflects our passion for creating a memorable experience,” Riingen added.
