BoC-Iloilo officials visit importer’s facilities

The Bureau of Customs (BoC) reported on Wednesday that, in accordance with Bureau of Customs (BoC) Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio’s directives, District Collector Ciriaco DG. Ugay, LCB,

led a site inspection of the facilities of Pryce Gases Inc. and CemPhil Inc. in Ajuy, Iloilo, conducted last 9 January.

During the inspection, Collector Ugay was accompanied by the key officials from the BoC Port of Iloilo.

As instructed by Commissioner Rubio at the New Year’s call, the BoC stated that the visit inspection of Pryce Gases Inc. was intended to address issues pertaining to its accreditation with the BoC as a Customs Facility and Warehouse. The Bureau’s continuous efforts to improve ties with stakeholders and guarantee adherence to customs laws and regulations are supported by this initiative.

The team at CemPhil Inc. focused on the company’s plans to build a new cement grinding mill, which could greatly increase the Port of Iloilo’s income collection. As one of the top producers of cement in the Philippines, CemPhil Inc.’s new project will help meet the growing need for building supplies in the area and strengthen the bureau’s position as a facilitator of trade and income development.
