In a joint operation, the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group (PNP-AVSEGROUP) and the Bureau of Immigration (BI) apprehended a newly arrived Filipino traveler at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on Sunday.

The authorities identified the traveler as a 27-year-old Filipina who arrived in the country from Nagoya, Japan.

She was arrested in connection with an outstanding bench warrant for violating Republic Act No. 9003, also known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000. The violation involved the unlawful disposal of waste, with a recommended bail set at P3,000.
