Actress Angel Locsin has yet to regain control of her X account (formerly Twitter) following a hacking incident.
On Tuesday, Locsin’s official Facebook page alerted her followers about unauthorized activity on her X account, @143redangel.
“A series of reposts was made by Angel Locsin’s X account @143redangel yesterday. This was not Angel,” her admin stated, warning the public to avoid engaging with suspicious links shared by the compromised account.
“Please do not click on the links posted. She is currently working on getting back access to her account,” the statement added.
However, hours after the announcement, the hacker continued to post using Locsin’s account. One post falsely claimed, “Got my acc back! Thank you for massive sharing! Love.”
Locsin’s husband, Neil Arce, clarified via his Instagram account that the actress has not yet recovered control of her X account.
“Account not yet recovered. We will be the one to inform everyone if we got it back already,” Arce wrote, sharing a screenshot of the hacked post.
Locsin’s X account, created in 2009, boasts 12.3 million followers. The actress has been inactive on the platform since her last update in August 2022.
Last seen in ABS-CBN’s 2019 action-drama series "The General’s Daughter", fans are eager for Locsin’s return to social media and updates on her career. For now, her team continues efforts to reclaim her account.
