Flag-carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) was named among Asia’s “most on-time” airlines for 2024.
PAL landed in the top 10 for the second year in a row after advancing to 7th place in the list.
PAL advanced one notch from 8th place last year and is the only Philippine carrier to be awarded a top 10 ranking among Asia-Pacific’s “Top Airline Performers.”
According to the 2024 Cirium On-Time Performance Report, PAL achieved an on-time arrival performance of 76.06 percent, covering over 112,000 flights across the Philippine flag carrier’s global network.
For January 2024 in particular, PAL clinched the Most Punctual Airline spot with an on-time performance of 86.85 percent.
“We greatly appreciate the recognition for the monumental efforts of our employees, service partners and industry stakeholders in achieving this on-time performance milestone, which affirms the long-term investments we are making in enhancing reliability and efficiency in all our operations, and always at the highest level of safety in line with Philippine Airlines’ uncompromising safety culture,” PAL president and chief operating officer Capt. Stanley K. Ng said.
The seventh-place ranking puts PAL ahead of most Southeast Asian, Chinese, Korean and Australian carriers.
Airlines from Japan, New Zealand, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Australia rounded out the top 10 list for 2024.
