Over 300 consultations logged by DOH during Traslacion

Over 300 consultations have been logged by the Department of Health (DOH) during Traslacion or the procession of Jesus Nazareno on Thursday.

According to DOH, a total of 332 persons visited degisnated medical stations located along the route of andas.

The main conditions recorded included devotees sustaining wounds (76 cases), headache and dizziness (74 cases), high blood pressure (54 cases), and other medical cases.

Seventeen individuals had to be taken to the hospital to be given additional attention.

DOH Secretary Ted Herbosa once again reminded all devotees in attendance to drink plenty of water, eat nutritious food and take enough rest after the Traslacion to maintain good physical condition.

"The DOH will continue to watch until our compatriots who participated in Traslacion return home properly,” Herbosa said.

“Together with our partner agencies, we are ready to provide assistance in any type of medical need and emergency," he added.

The Code White Alert will remain up until 10 January to ensure that all designated medical personnel, equipment, and facilities in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, and Calabarzon are ready to respond quickly to health-related emergencies or incidents.
