Miracles attributed to fierce devotion to the Jesus Nazareno

LOOK: Faithful families and various groups across the country gathered for the annual festivity to honor the image of the Jesus Nazareno carrying the Cross on the way to His crucifixion on Thursday, 9 January 2025, in the district of Quiapo, Manila. The image, which arrived in Manila from Acapulco, Mexico, in the 17th century via a galleon, bore a mystifying color. It is widely believed that the statue was charred in a fire aboard the galleon. Additionally, many Filipinos believe that touching the sacred image or its rope can bring miracles and healing.
