The International Series will break new ground this year with the introduction of the International Series Philippines, marking the first time the pioneering series has visited the proud golfing nation.

The inaugural tournament will offer a prize pool of $2 million and will be held from 23 to 26 October at a venue to be announced soon.

Top players from the LIV Golf League, along with the best of the Asian Tour, are expected for what will be the seventh event confirmed in The International Series. This multi-million-dollar platform of tournaments is integrated into the Asian Tour schedule, offering a pathway to the LIV Golf League.

The event will be the 16th stop on the Asian Tour and will welcome BingoPlus, the popular digital entertainment brand, as a sponsor.

“Bringing The International Series to the Philippines is a true statement of intent, highlighting the country’s significance in the growing global golf ecosystem, and reinforcing our commitment to bringing golf to new markets,” Rahul Singh, head of The International Series, said.

“As the second new destination confirmed for the 2025 campaign, this announcement demonstrates the balance between new and established markets eager to host The International Series and its unique brand of elite-level sport, featuring LIV Golf stars and rising prospects from the Asian Tour. It underscores the increasing strength of our brand as more regions seek to be part of this movement and connect with our large, sports-savvy audience.”

The event will mark the second Asian Tour tournament in the Philippines this season, with the Philippine Open kicking off the 2025 schedule at the Masters Course at Manila Southwoods Golf & Country Club from 23 to 26 January.

Cho Minn Thant, commissioner and chief executive officer of the Asian Tour, said they are thrilled to return to the Philippines considering that it is an important market and the Filipinos are all passionate for the sport.

“We’re thrilled to return to the Philippines for the second time in 2025,” he said.

“It’s an important market for us as we continue to enhance our presence across the region, and it’s a destination the players enjoy. We’re excited to see the Philippines added to our 2025 schedule.”

Additionally, another new tournament, the International Series India presented by DLF, will open The International Series season from 30 January to 2 February.

After that, the second edition of the International Series Macau presented by Wynn will return to the Greater Bay Area from 20 to 23 March.

The International Series will also return to Morocco on 3 to 6 July, the BNI Indonesian Masters on 28 to 31 August, the Link Hong Kong Open on 30 October to 2 November, and the PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers (date TBC).

With strong interest from various potential partner destinations, anticipation is growing for the three remaining tournaments yet to be announced. The dates are confirmed for 8 to 11 May, 4 to 7 September, and 2 to 5 October.

This year, the Asian Tour boasts 22 events, offering prize money exceeding $30 million, and more tournaments are set to be added.
