Regional Joint Security Control Center reactivated

NORTHERN MINDANAO — Security stakeholders, here, reactivated on Monday, 6 January, the Regional Joint Security Control Center (RJSCC), attended by representatives from the Philippine Army’s 1st Infantry Division, 10th Infantry Division, Philippine National Police (PNP), and the Philippine Coast Guard, alongside other stakeholders committed to maintaining peace and order across the region.

The 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division (4ID) also participated in the reactivation of the RJSCC, held at Camp Alagar, where Attorney Renato A. Magbutay, regional election director of the Commission on Elections, known for his leadership and initiative in bringing together various sectors to address regional security concerns, particularly in anticipation of the upcoming elections, presided over.

Brigadier General Michele B. Anayron Jr., brigade commander of the 403rd Infantry Brigade, under the operational control of the 4ID, and Lt. Col. Manuel B. Estanilla, assistant chief of staff for Civil-Military Operations (OG7), represented the 4ID, at the said event.

Anayron during the proceedings, underscored the significance of collaboration among various security agencies to ensure a successful and peaceful security environment in the region. Following this, an open forum was held that provided opportunity for attendees to discuss pressing security matters and explore ways to strengthen their partnerships.

In a statement, Major General Jose Maria R. Cuerpo II, commander of the 4ID, expressed the importance of the reactivation, which aims to bolster coordination and cooperation among security forces in the region, promoting a stable and peaceful environment for the public.

“The cooperation between 4ID, law enforcement, and civilian agencies is key to ensuring the safety and security of our region. The 4ID remains committed to supporting peace and order efforts, and we will continue to work closely with our partners to maintain a peaceful environment for the people of Cagayan de Oro and the entire region,” Major General Cuerpo II said.

The reactivation of the RJSCC exemplifies the ongoing efforts of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and other security agencies to maintain stability, foster trust and ensure peaceful elections in the region.
