Boke flower gets a Snake twist

Kenzo celebrates the Lunar New Year with an exclusive collection featuring festive designs inspired by the Year of the Snake and the Golden Boke Flower.

To mark this festive season, Kenzo’s artistic director Nigo has designed a collection that reinterprets House signatures through a Lunar New Year lens.

The Boke Flower, a hallmark of Kenzo’s heritage, is depicted in a golden snake graphic, merging tradition with bold creativity.

Gold and red, symbolizing happiness and prosperity, are prominent throughout the collection, creating a vibrant yet refined palette.

High-end embellishments, such as pearl accents and embroidered crests, enhance the festive atmosphere.

This 2025, the Lunar zodiac celebrates the snake, a symbol of wisdom, elegance and transformation. To honor this iconic animal, Kenzo has created a collection that blends traditional Lunar cultural elements with the House’s contemporary design codes. The collection features meaningful motifs, vibrant color palettes, and intricate craftsmanship, celebrating the values of happiness, longevity and luck.

For this special occasion, the collection features versatile and textured pieces designed for winter layering, incorporating festive details.

The Quilted Padded Overshirt, made from padded cotton fabric, showcases the Boke Flower reinterpreted in a golden snake graphic embroidered on the back.

The design also includes “Kenzo Paris” and “18 rue Vivienne” signatures, reflecting the House’s Parisian roots. Knitwear jumpers and cardigans feature a crest- embroidered golden version of the Boke Flower, with shiny stripes for a festive touch.

Accessories such as shoe charms, adjustable bracelets, and oversized reversible scarves are animated with Lunar New Year-inspired motifs and colorway.

Jersey and woven pieces, with subtle nods to the House’s identity, include T-shirts and sweatshirts featuring the snake inspired Boke Flower graphic in vibrant red and gold tones, bringing joy and energy to everyday styles.
