Following the successes of Encantadia, Amaya, Sahaya, Legal Wives, Maria Clara at Ibarra, and Pulang Araw, GMA Network proudly unveils its newest action-packed series, Mga Batang Riles beginning 6 January on GMA Prime.
The explosive drama series stars Miguel Tanfelix as Kidlat Asuncion, a principled young man living in poverty in Sitio Liwanag. He leads a group of underprivileged boys composed of Kokoy De Santos as Kulot Canlas, Raheel Bhyria as Sig Borja, Bruce Roeland as Matos Victor, Antonio Vinzon as Dagul Moreno. Wrongly punished for a crime that they did not commit, the underprivileged boys must fight and defy the odds, clear their names, and save their town from corruption and abuse.
Mga Batang Riles marks the on-screen comeback of one of the country’s most respected action stars, Ronnie Ricketts, as Bayani Salvacion and Diana Zubiri in a very special role as Maria “Maying” Asuncion.
The powerhouse cast also includes Jay Manalo as Rendon Victor, Roderick Paulate as Pol Alhambra, Jeric Raval as Argus, Desiree Del Valle as Scarlett Riego-Victor, and veteran actress Eva Darren as Ima Hana Salvacion.
Completing the “barkadahang handang makipagbarkadagulan” are Zephanie as Yumi Bitangcol, Faye Lorenzo as Georgina, Krissha Viaje as Missy Cuevas, TikTok content creators Jomar Yee as Lala Alhambra, and Spencer Serafica as Lulu Alhambra.
Joining the star-studded ensemble are Dave Bornea, Migs Villasis, Seb Pajarillo, Bea Gomez and Caitlyn Stave. The series also features the special participation of Cris Villanueva, Tina Paner, Chuckie Dreyfuss, Leandro Baldemor, Ynez Veneracion, Miggy Tolentino, Bodjie Pascua, Lara Morena and Ian Ignacio.
Mga Batang Riles aims to inspire audiences with its story of resilience and unyielding pursuit of justice amidst different adversities. Collectively referred to as Mga Batang Riles, will Kidlat and his friends be able to succeed and bring justice to Sitio Liwanag?
Mga Batang Riles is produced by the GMA Entertainment Group, headed by senior vice president Lilybeth Rasonable, vice president for drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, assistant vice president for drama Helen Rose Sese, program manager Dennis Joi Bentulan and executive producer Erwin Hilado.
The show’s creative team consists of creative director Aloy Adlawan, head writer Glaiza Ramirez, senior writer Reggie Amigo, writers Emerson Jake Somera and Loi Argel Nova, concept creator Jake Somera, brainstormer Meryl Margaux Bunyi.
This extraordinary series is under the helm of esteemed director Richard Arellano, and associate director Ralfh Manuel Malabuga, with special participation of dramatic director Laurice Guillen.
