Make 2025 a year of music! Look forward to these 23 Phl concerts

Filipino music fans closed out 2024 with empty wallets but full hearts, having attended a series of spectacular concerts. And the excitement doesn’t end there—2025 is shaping up to be another unforgettable year for live music. While our favorite artists continue to challenge our budgets, they also remind us why it’s worth it: their incredible music and unforgettable performances have a way of making everything feel lighter.

Here’s the list of must-see concerts to look forward to in 2025 (though whether a particular concert is must-see might depend on your generation!):

1. Cigarettes After Sex - X's World Tour

Cigarettes After Sex, the American dream pop band known for their ethereal and romantic soundscapes, is set to bring their X's World Tour to the Philippines with a sold-out show at the Mall of Asia Arena on 14 January 2025. Formed in El Paso, Texas, in 2008 by Greg Gonzalez, the band has gained a cult following for their ambient melodies and Gonzalez’s androgynous vocals, which evoke themes of love and intimacy.

The band’s name, according to Gonzalez, came from a “friendship with certain benefits” with a woman who smoked afterward, an experience he described as both memorable and symbolic of their sound's dream-like quality. Their sleeper hit “Nothing’s Gonna Hurt You Baby” from the 2012 EP I. catapulted them into the spotlight, followed by critically acclaimed albums Cigarettes After Sex (2017) and Cry (2019). Fans can expect to hear songs from their latest release, X's (2024), during what promises to be an unforgettable evening of hauntingly beautiful music.

2. SEVENTEEN with their Right Here World Tour

K-pop group SEVENTEEN is about to meet Filo Carats as they return to the Philippines for their Right Here World Tour on 18 and 19 January 2025 at the Philippine Sports Stadium.

3. Maroon 5's 2025 Asia Tour

Maroon 5 is kicking off their 2025 Asia Tour with a concert at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila on 29 January 2025. Tickets went on sale in September through Live Nation Philippines, with prices ranging from P2,550 to P3,550 for General Admission and up to P21,350 for the top VIP package.

The tour will take the band across Asia, with stops in Jakarta, Bangkok, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, and Kaohsiung.

4. Aurora's first Manila show

Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora is bringing her ethereal music to Manila for the first time with a concert at the New Frontier Theater on 31 January 2025. Known for her haunting vocals and unique blend of electropop, folk, and art pop, Aurora rose to fame with her debut EP Running with the Wolves (2015), featuring the sleeper hit "Runaway." Her critically acclaimed debut album, All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend (2016), topped charts in Norway and earned her international recognition.

Aurora has since released five studio albums, including her latest, What Happened to the Heart? (2024), and collaborated with renowned artists like Hans Zimmer and the Chemical Brothers. Her deeply emotional storytelling and captivating performances have earned her a global following.

5. Local fave TJ Monterde sets up in Araneta City in February

TJ Monterde is set to perform at his three-day sold-out show Sarili Nating Mundo at the Smart Araneta Coliseum from 1 to 3 February 2025. The artist took to social media on 23 November to announce that a third day had been added to his John Prats-directed show.

6. Solo act out of EXO

EXO’s Baekhyun is coming back to Manila for his Bench fan meet to be held on 2 February, 2025 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

7. Cup of Joe

The five-piece band Cup of Joe will be spending an early Valentine’s date with their fans, Joewahs, at SILAKBO: Cup of Joe’s second major concert happening on 8 and 9 February 2025 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

8. The Script to tug at Millennial heartstrings in Feb

Irish rock band The Script is set to bring their Satellites World Tour to the Philippines with two sold-out shows at the Araneta Coliseum on 11 and 12 February 2025. Known for their soulful hits and heartfelt lyrics, The Script has been a defining act for Millennials, delivering anthems like "The Man Who Can’t Be Moved," "Breakeven," and "Hall of Fame."

Formed in Dublin in 2001, the band — currently consisting of Danny O'Donoghue, Glen Power, Benjamin Sargent, and Ben Weaver — has released six studio albums and sold over 20 million records worldwide.

The band has won numerous accolades throughout their career, including three Meteor Ireland Music Awards, two BMI Pop Awards for hits like "Breakeven" and "For the First Time," and a World Music Award for Best Selling Irish Act.

Their chart-topping albums, including Science & Faith and No Sound Without Silence, and their music’s presence in iconic shows like The Vampire Diaries and 90210, have solidified their place in pop-rock history. For fans in the Philippines, this concert marks a rare opportunity to witness one of the most beloved bands of their generation live.

9. NIKI in February

Indonesian singer-songwriter NIKI is holding three sold-out shows in Manila on 11 and 12 February 2025 at the Mall of Asia Arena and on 1 March 2025 at the Araneta Coliseum.

10. Another Irish act — The Corrs are coming to Araneta City

The Irish family band The Corrs, consisting of siblings Andrea, Sharon, Caroline, and Jim, is set to perform at the Araneta Coliseum on 15 and 16 February 2025.

11. BINIverse World Tour 2025 kickoff

BINI, dubbed the “Nation’s Girl Group,” is set to kick off their highly anticipated BINIverse World Tour 2025 on 15 February 2025 at the Philippine Arena. This marks a major milestone for the group, which has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the most celebrated P-pop acts in the Philippines and beyond.

Formed under ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt Academy in 2019, BINI—composed of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena—underwent rigorous training before officially debuting in 2021 with their empowering single “Born to Win.” From performing in small venues and personally promoting themselves to headlining major international stages, BINI’s journey has been one of hard work and determination. The BINIverse World Tour 2025 promises to showcase their evolution into global performers and celebrate their achievements with fans.

12. British-Norwegian boy band A1

A1 will make Valentine’s Day extra special for their Filipino fans with their shows at the New Frontier Theater on 15 and 16 February 2025.

13. BIGBANG's Taeyang in MoA

Taeyang of BIGBANG is bringing his “The Lightyear Tour” to Manila on 22 February 2025 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

14. Day 6's world tour

K-pop pop-rock band Day6 is set to serenade Filo My Day at their “FOREVER YOUNG” World Tour on 22 February 2025 at the Araneta Coliseum.

15. K-Pop Waterbomb 2025 festival

The most anticipated South Korean festival, Waterbomb, is set to make a splash in the Philippines on 22 and 23 February 2025 at the Quirino Grandstand. Known for its high-energy music, thrilling water fights, and vibrant atmosphere, Waterbomb has gained a reputation as a unique international festival unlike any other.

Promising a dynamic blend of experiences, the Waterbomb website teases a lineup of dazzling K-pop performances, electrifying hip-hop acts, and high-energy sets from top Korean DJs. Beyond the music, attendees can dive into the festival’s signature water-fighting experience, complete with powerful water guns and thrilling team competitions. Adding to the excitement is Waterbomb Time, where massive water bombs and powerful cannons bring an adrenaline-pumping mix of fun and thrill.

16. Wave to earth promises Korean indie rock to end Feb

Korean indie rock band wave to earth (their band name is styled in lowercase letters) returns to Manila on 28 February 2025, with a show at the Mall of Asia Arena.

17. ENHYPEN hypin' up March

K-pop sensation ENHYPEN is set to stage their Walk The Line world tour at the Philippine Sports Stadium on 1 March 2025.

18. Keshi at MoA Arena

American singer-songwriter Keshi will bring his REQUIEM TOUR on 4 March 2025 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

19. Nick Carter to delight fans anew

Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys is coming to the Philippines with his Who I Am tour at the New Frontier Theater on 30 March 2025.

20. Super Junior promises superb tour stop in April

Super Junior's main vocalist Kyuhyun is set to hold the Manila show of his 10th Anniversary Asia Tour, COLORS, on 5 April 2025 at the New Frontier Theater.

21. NCT Wish brings J-pop feel to New Frontier Theater

NCT Wish, the Japan-focused sub-unit of the K-pop boy group NCT, will be visiting the Philippines for its Log In Asia tour on 12 April 2025 at the New Frontier Theater.

22. Another one for the Millennials: M2M in May!

Norwegian pop duo M2M will perform their greatest hits at the Araneta Coliseum on 1 and 2 May 2025.

23. Boyz II Men to serenade Manila

R&B trio Boyz II Men will serenade the Philippine crowd on 18 May 2025 at the Araneta Coliseum.
